A well-fitted wooden watch is not just a style statement but also ensures comfort and functionality. If you’ve recently purchased one of our exquisite wooden watches and need to adjust the size, you’re in the right place. Follow this simple guide to remove links from your wooden watch and achieve the perfect fit.
01.What You'll Need
- The watch you want to resize
- A link removal tool (included with your purchase)
- A flat surface to work on
- Patience and steady hands
02. Step-by-Step Guide to Remove Links
Step 1: Prepare Your Work Area
Set up a clean, flat surface to work on. This ensures you won’t lose any small parts during the process.
Step 2: Loosen the Side Wheel
Take the link removal tool provided in your watch box. Screw out the side wheel of the tool to a certain length. This will create space for the watch band to be positioned correctly.
Step 3: Position the Watch
Lie the watch flat on the base of the link removal tool. Make sure the side of the watch with the pin holes is aligned with the pin pusher on the tool.
Step 4: Remove the Pins
Gently push the pin out using the link removal tool. Apply steady pressure until the pin slides out of the link. Carefully take off the wooden band joint(s) and keep them aside.
Step 5: Adjust the Band
Repeat the process if you need to remove more than one link. Be sure to remove links evenly from both sides of the clasp to maintain balance and symmetry.
Step 6: Reassemble the Band
Once you’ve removed the necessary links, it’s time to reassemble the band. Align the remaining links and push the pin(s) back into the hole. Ensure the pins are secure and the links are tightly connected.
